Full Steam Ahead…
Chatter about the Steam Machine broke the internet last week, with some netizens excited for its purported ease of use, while others are concerned it may not be powerful enough.
We here at TLG decided to settle the score once and for all after pulling some strings and getting our hands on one.
Positives:
It is light weight and plug-and-play. Although not super portable, it can be packed up and brought in a larger bag like a suit case in a pinch.
Although some commenters are worried it may not be powerful enough, we have found it gets the job done nicely.
Drawbacks:
It can’t play any titles available on the PS5… or the Xbox… or the Wii… in fact, we found it wasn’t really compatible with any games at all.
Bottom Line:
If you’re looking for a new entrant to shake up the console wars, this Steam Machine ain’t it. But if you’ve got some wrinkles in your clothes and don’t really feel like setting up the whole ironing board, this is definitely the machine for you.
